The BC-2 Mask Making Course is conducted at the working special effects studio of CIFX located in the city of Santa Fe Springs in Southern California!
In this course you will design and create your very own movie quality latex mask. You will learn basic techniques in product design, face casting, sculpture, mold making, fabrication, painting/air brushing, and detail work.
You will take home:
A unique custom fitting mask of your design
A reusable mold
Your own plaster face cast
A basic tool kit (for sculpture)
The knowledge and confidence to produce many other creations!

Class sessions: (7) two hour long classes and (1) 6-8 hour long Saturday session. We are currently taking reservations for the upcoming September-October course.
Class size is limited and will be filled on a first come-first served basis. Our classes fill up quickly so don't miss your opportunity to be part of the last effects courses that we are offering before Halloween. A deposit is required to hold your spot.
We will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8-10 PM beginning on Thursday September 20th and ending on October 18th. The Saturday class is scheduled for September 22nd and will be a full day from (10 AM until 6, or 8 PM). We will take breaks for food (either bring your own, or bring money as there are numerous food providers within walking distance from the shop).

Please register for this class ONLY if you are in Southern California (or will be in Southern California) and can attend for the entire run of the class as we are not able to offer substitutions or make-ups for missed classes.
Warning! We use latex products in this course ... while latex allergies are rare, if you know that you are allergic to latex we would recommend not taking this course as you will definitely come in contact with latex both in liquid and dried forms.
